The Australian Centre for Heart Health is a not for profit, independent Medical Research Institute and a National Health & Medical Research Council (NHMRC) administering organisation. The Centre is a collaborating centre of Deakin University through the Faculty of Health, and is affiliated with the University of Melbourne The Centre’s 30-year history of research into the psychological, behavioural and social antecedents and consequences of heart disease places it firmly among the world’s top centres of cardiac psychology.

It focuses on secondary prevention and working with those at high risk of repeat events and the greatest need for support in their psychosocial recovery. The Centre’s Cardiac Wellbeing Program offers evidence-based psychological and behavioural telehealth support for cardiac patients with referrals to wellbeing@australianhearthealth.org.au.
